FAQ

Is my workout data uploaded anywhere?

No. Reserve is local-first: sessions, sets, and settings stay on your iPhone. There is no account and no Reserve cloud. Details: Privacy Policy.

How do I back up before switching phones?

In the app: Settings → Data → Back up to file. Save or AirDrop the .json backup, then on the new phone use Import backup. Import replaces the log on that phone with the backup’s history.

Can I bring history from Strong or Hevy?

Yes. Export a CSV from Strong or Hevy, then in Reserve: Settings → Data → Import from another app. Import adds to your current history (it does not wipe it). Sessions you already imported are skipped.

How do I delete everything?

Settings → Data → Erase training data removes finished sessions, sets, records, and any in-progress workout. Templates and app preferences stay. Deleting the app from the iPhone also removes Reserve’s local storage. There is no cloud copy for us to erase remotely.

Why did iOS ask for notifications?

Only for the rest timer. When a rest countdown finishes while the app is in the background or the screen is locked, Reserve can play a local chime. Nothing is sent to a push server. You can turn notifications off in iOS Settings → Reserve anytime.

What does e1RM / RIR mean in Reserve?

RIR is reps in reserve (how many reps you believe you left unused). e1RM is an estimated one-rep max using Reserve’s formula: weight × (1 + (reps + RIR) / 30). It is a tracking estimate, not medical advice. The same formula is shown under Settings → About.

I finished a session but something looks wrong in Progress.

Open the session from Sessions (or Progress → recent), tap a set to edit or delete it. Warm-up sets do not count toward volume or records. If a number still looks wrong after edits, email us with the exercise name and what you expected.

Does Reserve work offline?

Yes. Logging, templates, charts, and rest timer work without a network. A connection is only needed if you open this support site or send email from the device.

Privacy and your data

Reserve does not collect your training log. For a full statement that matches App Store App Privacy disclosures, read the Privacy Policy. You can also open it from Settings → About → Privacy policy in the app.

For App Review

Reserve requires no login. To exercise the app: complete onboarding, start a session from Today, log a set (weight × reps × RIR). Rest-timer notifications are local-only. There is no demo account because there are no accounts.
